General Attractions
Ancient Spanish Monastery

This monastery was built in 12th-century Spain and was home to the
monks and nuns of the Roman Catholic Church for nearly 700 years.
Then in 1925, the American tycoon, William Randolph Hearst bought
the old stones, had it dismantled with each stone numbered. It was
rebuilt in North Miami Beach in 1964, and at the end of the extraordinary
reconstruction it was said, one single stone remained unplaced.
Visiting this beautiful and serene historic building will give you
the impression you stepped into another world.
Art Deco Historic District

In the 1970’s, South Beach was almost nonexistent but was
revived by the fun, tropical art deco resurfacing on the buildings.
Ocean Drive now presents itself as the hippest street in South Beach
and is packed with cafes, shops, restaurants and clubs. Aside from
the tropical delight of pastel colors and classic lines of the buildings
some smaller details add to South Beach’s distinctive tropical
flair. You will notice porthole windows and deck-like balconies;
sunshades shaped like eyebrows, etched glass, and metal screen doors
illustrating palm trees, flamingos, pelicans, mermaids and sunbursts.

Miami Metro Zoo

Visit the world’s jungles and experience the Asian River Life
exhibit inviting you to walk among cool waterfalls and tropical
mists while listening to the exotic sounds of the wildlife. Embark
upon an African safari to observe wild animals in a setting that

about a trip down under to visit the joeys. The large open-air exhibits
allow visitors to enjoy more than 800 beautiful and endangered animals

Miami Seaquarium

View the spectacular underwater world at this super marine park
known for entertaining and educating people of all ages. Marvel
at the tons of sharks and manatees or visit the Tropical Reef exhibits,
which display many radiantly colored varieties of reef fish and
other reef animals. The Seaquarium is also the home to the TV Superstar,
Flipper. Go by and say Hi!
Miami City Ballet

The dancers bring ballet to life through poetic gestures and mastering
complex physical skills. The Miami City Ballet has a highly praised
reputation and is among the top three ballet companies in the United

Bal Harbour Gallery

Bal Harbour is the most prestigious gallery in South Florida. The

Miami Art Museum

In the heart of Greater Miami is an educational setting devoted
to the visual arts. The mission of the museum is to exhibit, collect,
preserve and interpret international art with a focus on the art
of the Western Hemisphere from the World War II era to the present.
Monkey Jungle

The motto is: “Where the humans are caged and the monkeys
run wild”. It is home to nearly 400 primates, running free
on a 30-acre reserve. There are not many protected environments
for endangered primates in the United States. The Monkey Jungle
is the only location where the general public can explore the monkeys
in their natural surroundings.
Everglades Safari Park

Interest in the Everglades and its wildlife is more popular than
ever. For this reason, the Safari Park has seen an increased number
of visitors. Take an exciting 30-minute airboat ride through the
Everglades passing the homes of many alligators; this would be a
good time to have your camera ready. Then watch an alligator wrestling
show and finally roam through a jungle for more panoramic views.
Everglades Alligator Farm

can actually touch an alligator, squirm with the snakes and learn
about the Native Americans that lived in the Everglades. The park
also has wildlife shows with native and exotic animals, airboat
tours, fishing charters, and RV campsites, as well as a gift shop
and restaurant.
Parrott Jungle

You will not only see parrots at this tropical paradise. Baby apes
have joined the jungle as well as the tortoises, alligators and
crocodiles. Wander the trails to view the more than 1200 varieties
of exotic plants, cascading waterfalls, winding streams and a tranquil
lake with brilliantly colored flamingos.
